Mighty Max on SNES is one of those weird little beta games that never got a full release—which is kind of a shame, because it’s got this janky charm to it. You play as Max, this tiny kid with a magic cap, running through levels that feel like a mix of platformer and puzzle game. The controls are a bit stiff (typical early '90s), but once you get used to it, there’s something oddly satisfying about figuring out how to navigate the weirdly designed stages.
Graphically, it’s got that rough beta look—some sprites are half-finished, and the backgrounds feel placeholder-ish, but that just adds to the curiosity factor. If you’re into obscure retro stuff, it’s a neat little time capsule. Just don’t expect a polished experience.
