Micro Machines 2 on SNES is one of those games where you immediately realize the devs had way too much fun designing tracks. One second you're racing across a breakfast table dodging cereal boxes, the next you're skidding around a pool table trying not to wipe out on the felt. The cars handle like they're on ice at first—took me a few races to stop slamming into pencil barriers and soda can obstacles.

What really makes it shine is the multiplayer. Four players crammed around a CRT, elbows flying as someone inevitably tries to shove you off the garden track into the flower beds. The AI's brutal too—they'll pit maneuver you without remorse if you let off the gas for half a second. Pro tip: the hovercraft's weirdly good on water sections, but good luck controlling it on straightaways.

Still holds up as one of the best top-down racers from the 16-bit era, especially if you've got friends willing to put up with the chaos.
