I picked up a prototype cartridge of Mickey's Playtown Adventure: A Day of Discovery! for the Super Nintendo. It was developed by Hi Tech Expressions and planned for a 1994 release, a time when the SNES was full of colorful platformers aimed at a younger audience. This one clearly fits right into that category, built around the familiar faces of the Disney universe.

You control Mickey Mouse, walking through a series of themed screens like a farm or a toy shop. The main goal is simply to explore each area, finding and clicking on various objects to see short animations or hear sounds. There isn't a complex quest; the main activities involve moving from screen to screen and interacting with items like a jack-in-the-box or a barn door. The pacing is very slow and the challenge is minimal, designed more for a child's curiosity than for any real tests of skill.
