Okay, so Mickey to Donald: Magical Adventure 3 is one of those SNES platformers that somehow flew under the radar back in the day. You’ve got Mickey and Donald bouncing through these bright, cartoony levels—think floating candy castles, pirate ships made of playing cards, that kind of Disney magic. The controls are snappy, and Donald’s weird little hop when he jumps still cracks me up.
First level throws you into a candy-coated forest with these living gumdrop enemies, and yeah, it looks adorable until you realize some of the platforming gets surprisingly tricky. Mickey’s spin attack feels way more satisfying than it should, and the music? Pure 16-bit cheerfulness. There’s a boss fight against a giant, angry teapot about 15 minutes in, and honestly, it’s the kind of ridiculous charm that makes this game stick with you.
If you’ve got a soft spot for Disney or just love that era of SNES platformers, this one’s a solid time capsule with way more personality than it gets credit for.
