About Mickey No Magical Adventure (japan) (rev A)
Mickey No Magical Adventure came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, a time when the console was full of colorful platformers. It was developed by Graphic Research and published by Sony Imagesoft in Japan. This was just one of many games trying to capture that classic cartoon feel on the 16-bit hardware.
You control Mickey Mouse through a series of side-scrolling levels, moving screen by screen. Your main goal is to rescue Minnie and the kidnapped kings from the evil emperor Pete. Mickey's primary attack is throwing magical stars, and you can also find temporary power-ups like a super jump or a protective bubble. The game is structured around exploring different themed worlds, such as a forest and a toy land, with each one culminating in a boss fight. The pacing is fairly brisk, though some later stages ramp up the difficulty with tricky enemy placements and platforming sections. Playing it feels like a straightforward, cheerful run through a Saturday morning cartoon.
