Mickey No Magical Adventure is one of those weird, Japan-only SNES platformers that never made it overseas—which is a shame, because it’s actually pretty charming. You control Mickey (obviously) through these bright, cartoony levels, bouncing on mushrooms and dodging these little goblin guys who throw apples at you. The controls feel a bit floaty at first, but you get used to it.
What’s cool is how the game mixes things up—one minute you’re hopping across clouds, the next you’re riding a minecart or swimming through underwater caves. The music’s got that classic SNES chirpiness, too. It’s not the hardest game out there, but it’s got enough personality to make it worth a playthrough if you’re into retro Disney stuff.
Honestly, I’d never even heard of this until I stumbled on it in an emulator, but it’s a fun little hidden gem.
