Metal Warriors on SNES is one of those games that makes you wonder how they crammed so much mecha chaos into a 16-bit cartridge. You start off picking from six different robots—each one handles totally differently, from the slow-but-brutal juggernaut to this nimble little guy with a grappling hook (my personal favorite).

The first mission throws you right into a side-scrolling firefight, blasting enemy mechs while dodging missiles that'll wreck your armor if you're not careful. The coolest part? You can actually eject from your robot mid-battle and hijack enemy mechs if yours gets too banged up—just don't get stepped on while you're running around as a tiny pilot.

It's got that perfect mix of weighty controls and ridiculous explosions where every hit feels satisfying. The versus mode is secretly the best part though—nothing beats tricking your friend into walking into your hidden landmine trap. Still holds up way better than most '90s mech games.
