Okay, so The Mask on SNES—yeah, the Jim Carrey movie game. It’s one of those licensed platformers where you’re bouncing around as the green-faced lunatic, tossing playing cards and pulling giant hammers out of nowhere. The sprites actually do a decent job capturing Carrey’s manic energy, and the levels are packed with dumb little movie references (that nightclub stage is straight out of the film).
It’s not exactly a hidden gem—some of the platforming feels stiff, and the enemies are kinda spongy—but there’s something weirdly fun about wreaking cartoon havoc with those over-the-top animations. Just don’t expect it to hold up like the big-name SNES classics.
