Marios Early Years - Preschool Fun Game

Okay, so Mario's Early Years: Preschool Fun is one of those weird SNES deep cuts where Nintendo tried to turn the plumber into an edutainment mascot. You guide little kids through basic preschool stuff—colors, shapes, matching games—with Mario popping up to cheer them on. It’s not exactly Super Mario World, but the mini-games are oddly charming in a "wait, why does Bowser teach counting?" kind of way.
First thing you’ll notice? The music’s way chiller than usual, like someone remixed the Mushroom Kingdom into a kindergarten soundtrack. Some activities are stupid simple (drag the right shape into the hole), while others, like the memory matching, actually get kinda tough if you crank up the difficulty. Weirdly, I still remember the animal sounds section—Yoshi’s happy little nod when you get it right is low-key adorable.
Definitely made for tiny humans, but if you’re into obscure Mario trivia or just love that 16-bit aesthetic, it’s a fun curiosity. Just don’t expect power-ups or Goombas.
