Mario's Amazing Adventure is one of those SNES games that just feels right the moment you press start. You’ve got the classic side-scrolling action—running through mushroom-filled plains, dodging Koopas, and bouncing off Goombas like it’s 1992 all over again. The controls are tight, the music’s got that nostalgic twang, and the levels? Just tricky enough to keep you on your toes without feeling unfair.
I love how the secrets are tucked away in the usual Mario spots—hidden blocks, suspicious-looking pipes—but there are a few curveballs that still surprise me even now. And yeah, Bowser’s at the end of it all, because of course he is. The first time I played, I got stuck on that one level with the moving platforms for way too long… but nailing that final jump? Pure satisfaction.
If you’ve ever held an SNES controller, this one’s a no-brainer. It’s Mario doing what Mario does best.
