Mario The Archaeologist Part 2 Game

So, Mario the Archaeologist Part 2—yeah, it's one of those obscure SNES gems that never made it big outside Japan. You play as Mario, but instead of jumping on Goombas, you're digging up ancient ruins, solving tile-matching puzzles, and dodging traps like some kind of plumber-turned-Indiana Jones. The pixel art's surprisingly detailed for a SNES game, with little hieroglyphics and crumbling temple walls everywhere.
At first, I thought it was just another puzzle game, but there's this weird charm to it—like, Mario actually gets excited when you uncover artifacts, waving his arms around like he just found the lost city of gold. The music's got that classic SNES vibe too, all bouncy and adventurous. Some of the later levels get brutal though—good luck figuring out the right tile combos before the timer runs out.
If you're into retro stuff or just want to see Mario in a completely different role, it's a neat little time capsule (pun intended).
