Mario The Archaeologist Part 1 Game

So, "Mario The Archaeologist Part 1" is one of those obscure SNES ROM hacks that popped up years ago—definitely not official, but weirdly charming. You start off with Mario in this Indiana Jones-style adventure, digging through ruins instead of stomping Goombas. The sprites are janky in that classic fan-made way, and the controls take some getting used to since jumping feels a little heavier than vanilla Mario.
First few minutes, you're poking around ancient temples, grabbing artifacts instead of coins, and dodging traps that look like they were cobbled together from other SNES games. It's rough around the edges, but there's something fun about seeing Mario in a completely different role. The music’s a weird mix of original chiptune and ripped tracks, which somehow works.
If you're into oddball ROM hacks, this one’s a neat little time capsule—just don’t expect polished Nintendo quality.
