Mario Party 3 is the kind of game that turns a quiet night with friends into a full-blown rivalry. You pick your favorite character—I always go for Wario because, let’s be honest, he’s the best—and then it’s straight into the chaos. The boards are packed with traps, shortcuts, and those sneaky hidden paths that either save you or ruin your whole plan.
The mini-games are where things really get wild. One second you’re frantically mashing buttons in a tug-of-war, the next you’re trying not to scream as someone steals all your stars at the last second. And yeah, luck plays a big part, but there’s just enough strategy to keep you from rage-quitting (most of the time).
It’s one of those N64 classics that still holds up, especially if you’ve got a few friends willing to throw down. Just don’t blame me when someone flips the table after losing by one coin.
