About Mario Paint (joystick)
Mario Paint came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Nintendo. It was a different kind of game for the console, arriving at a time when many releases focused on action or adventure. This one was built around the SNES Mouse peripheral, turning your television into a simple digital canvas and animation studio.
You don't control a character in a traditional sense; you control the cursor. Your main objective is to create. You draw pixel by pixel, fill areas with color, and place stamps from a large library of pre-made graphics. You compose short songs on a grid-based music editor, placing notes for different instruments. The pacing is entirely your own, with no difficulty curve or enemies to defeat. It feels like opening a box of digital art supplies and having the freedom to make whatever you imagine.
