Mario Legacy - Super Mario World. Demo 2 is a fan made release for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, or SNES. It builds on the original Super Mario World, a game developed and published by Nintendo in the early 1990s. This was a period when the SNES was establishing its library with expansive platformers that pushed the console's capabilities.
You control Mario, navigating side scrolling levels filled with Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and Piranha Plants. The main goal is to reach the end of each stage, defeating Bowser's forces along the way. Signature mechanics include the spin jump, which can break certain blocks and defeat shielded enemies, and the cape feather, allowing you to fly and glide for extended exploration. You also ride Yoshi, who can eat enemies and gain temporary powers by swallowing specific colored shells.
