Mario & Luigi RPG Wariance is one of those old-school Flash RPGs that totally nails the feel of the handheld Mario RPGs. You jump into turn-based battles with timed button presses—mess up and Luigi’s jump attack just kinda flops. The sprites are chunky and colorful, and the writing’s got that goofy charm where Bowser yells something ridiculous and the bros shrug at each other.

First thing you’ll notice? The enemy designs are weirdly creative—like, who decided a walking mustache with boxing gloves was a good idea? But it works. The battles start simple, but later you’re juggling fireballs, hammer swings, and counter moves all at once. It’s chaotic in the best way.

Honestly, for a Flash game, it’s got way more depth than you’d expect. Just don’t be surprised when you lose half an hour to it without realizing.
