About Maka Maka (japan)
Maka Maka was a Japan only Super Nintendo RPG from 1992, developed by Office Koukan. It came out during a time when the SNES library was expanding with many different kinds of role playing games, and this one offered its own particular take on the genre.
You control a young hero exploring a world map and navigating through towns and dungeons in a screen by screen fashion. Your main goal is to gather a set of special stones to prevent a catastrophe. The combat is turn based, letting you choose attacks, magic, or items for your party. A notable feature is the ability to switch between characters during battles to adapt to different enemies. The game has a deliberate pace, and some of the later dungeons can be quite challenging with their puzzles and enemy encounters. Moving through its world and managing your resources creates a methodical and absorbing experience.
