Magical Taruruuto-kun - Magic Adventure is one of those weird, charming SNES games that never made it outside Japan. You play as this little kid with a magic wand, running through colorful, slightly surreal levels—think floating islands, giant mushrooms, and enemies that look like they escaped from a Saturday morning cartoon.
The controls take a second to get used to since your attacks are all wand-based, but once you figure out the timing, it’s oddly satisfying. Some of the platforming can be janky (this is a 90s game, after all), but the art style and goofy animations make up for it. There’s even a two-player mode if you want to drag a friend into the chaos.
Definitely not the most polished SNES title, but if you’re into obscure retro games with personality, it’s a fun little time capsule.
