So, Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse is one of those classic SNES platformers that looks cute but actually gets pretty tough. You start off as regular Mickey, but then—bam—Pete snatches Pluto, and suddenly you're jumping through forests and castles in these wild power-up costumes. The wizard robe lets you shoot magic, the firefighter suit blasts water, and the mountain climber gear... well, you’ll see.
What’s cool is how each costume changes the way you play. At first, I kept forgetting to switch between them, but once you get the hang of it, pulling off combos feels smooth. The levels are bright and cartoony, but don’t let that fool you—some of those jumps are brutal. And Pete’s bosses? They’ve got patterns you’ll need to figure out fast.
It’s short but satisfying, especially if you grew up with Mickey stuff. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
