Magic Johnson’s Super Slam Dunk is one of those SNES basketball games that somehow feels both janky and ridiculously fun at the same time. You pick from a roster of exaggerated, almost cartoonish players (Magic’s got that signature grin, obviously) and jump straight into either one-on-one or a full tournament. The controls take a second to click—hold the button to charge your dunk, release at the right moment—but once you get it, you’ll be pulling off ridiculous mid-air spins and slamming the ball so hard the backboard shakes.

What I love is how over-the-top it is. The announcer yells "SUPER SLAM!" like you just broke physics, and the players move with this weird, bouncy energy that makes every match feel chaotic. It’s not exactly NBA Jam, but there’s something charming about how hard it tries. Play it with a friend, and you’ll both be yelling at the screen within five minutes. Just don’t expect realism—this is pure arcade nonsense, and that’s why it works.
