Magic Johnson No Super Slam Dunk (japan) Game

Magic Johnson no Super Slam Dunk is one of those weird, Japan-only SNES basketball games that feels like it was made by people who'd only heard about basketball in passing. You pick from a roster of international teams (none of which are actually real, by the way) and jump into these fast, arcadey matches where the ball physics are just... off. Like, dunks sometimes teleport through the net, and passes have this weird floaty delay.
It’s got that early '90s charm though—bright colors, exaggerated player animations, and a soundtrack that’s equal parts funky and chaotic. The controls take a minute to get used to, especially since the turbo button seems to do nothing half the time. Still, there’s something oddly satisfying about pulling off a three-pointer with a player who looks nothing like Magic Johnson despite the title.
If you’re into obscure sports games, this one’s a fun little time capsule—just don’t expect NBA Jam.
