About Lupin Iii - Densetsu No Hihou Wo Oe!
I picked up Lupin III: Densetsu No Hihou Wo Oe! for the Super Nintendo back in 1994. It was published by Epoch Co., a company that released a few other titles on the system. This was during a time when the SNES library was full of varied action and platforming games, and this one fit right in as an adaptation of the popular anime series.
You control Lupin, navigating through side scrolling stages filled with guards and traps. Your main goal is to find the legendary treasure, which involves exploring each stage thoroughly, from city streets to ancient ruins. The game uses a life bar system, so you can take a few hits before losing a life. You have a punch attack for close combat and can find a gun for shooting enemies from a distance. The pacing is fairly quick, though some jumps require precise timing. It feels like a straightforward arcade style adventure where you are constantly moving and reacting.
