Luigi finally gets his moment in Luigi's Adventure 3 for SNES, and honestly? It's about time. You start off in this weirdly cozy haunted mansion—classic Luigi vibes—where the floors creak, paintings blink at you, and the first Boo you meet actually made me jump. The controls feel just right, with Luigi’s floaty jump being way more useful here than in Mario games when you’re dodging floating books and hopping between disappearing platforms.
There’s this new vacuum power-up (way before Luigi’s Mansion was a thing) that lets you suck up ghosts mid-jump, which is as ridiculous as it sounds. I kept getting stuck on these block puzzles where you have to freeze enemies to use them as stepping stones—took me way too long to figure that out. The music’s got that perfect SNES charm too, all bouncy and slightly spooky when it needs to be.
If you’ve ever wanted to see Luigi actually be the hero for once, this is the one. Just watch out for the chandelier level—trust me on that.
