Alright, so Luigi's Adventure - Overseas Edition is basically that one SNES gem where Luigi finally gets his own weird little vacation—except, of course, nothing goes smoothly. You start off in this seaside town where the locals keep muttering about missing treasure, and before you know it, you're dodging giant crabs and hopping between rickety boats. Classic Luigi luck.
The graphics are bright and cartoony, like someone took the usual Mario vibes and cranked up the saturation. And yeah, there are mushrooms (duh), but the real fun is finding these hidden coins tucked behind waterfalls or inside suspiciously hollow palm trees. The controls feel a little floaty at first—Luigi’s jump has this weird hang-time—but once you get used to it, you’re bouncing off enemies like a pro.
What surprised me was how much personality the levels have. One minute you're climbing a bamboo tower with monkeys throwing coconuts, the next you're sneaking through a marketplace where every stall has something weird to interact with. It’s not just another Mario clone—it’s got its own goofy charm. If you ever wanted to see Luigi fumble his way through an adventure that’s equal parts tropical and chaotic, this is it.
