Okay, so Luigi Adventure - Overseas Edition is basically that one obscure SNES gem where Luigi finally gets his own weird little adventure—no Mario in sight. You start off on some tropical island, jumping on goombas like usual, but then suddenly you’re hopping between pirate ships, dodging seagulls, and solving these weird block puzzles to open up new areas.
The graphics are super bright and cartoony, with these exaggerated animations that make Luigi flail his arms every time he misses a jump (which, let’s be honest, happens a lot). The music’s got that classic SNES charm—peppy, slightly off-key, and weirdly catchy after the third loop.
It’s not as polished as the mainline Mario games, but that’s kind of the fun? Like, some levels feel like they were designed by someone who had too much coffee, throwing in random mechanics like minecart rides or sudden underwater sections. You’ll either love it or rage-quit by world 3. Either way, it’s a trip. Just don’t expect it to play fair all the time.
