About Lode Runner Twin - Justy To Liberty No Daibouken (japan)
Lode Runner Twin - Justy To Liberty No Daibouken came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Irem. It was part of that wave of puzzle platformers that really defined the 16-bit era, sitting alongside other games that demanded more from you than just quick reflexes.
You control a character who must navigate a series of single-screen stages. Your main goal is to collect all the gold pieces scattered around each level before you can exit. The signature mechanics are digging holes to trap the patrolling enemies and also to temporarily remove sections of the ground to create new paths or drop items. The pacing is methodical; you have to plan your route carefully because a wrong move can leave you cornered or send you falling. It feels like a tense game of cat and mouse where you are constantly outsmarting the level's design.
