Light Warriors was a game I found in a bargain bin years after the SNES era had ended; it never got an official release, so it was one of those obscure, unfinished projects you'd only hear about through word of mouth or emulation circles. I don't recall a specific developer or publisher attached to it, which made the whole thing feel like a curious artifact from that experimental period when small teams were trying to make their own Zelda-style adventures.

You control a single hero exploring an overworld and dungeons screen by screen, fighting monsters with a sword and sometimes a bow you find later. The main goal is to collect several magical crystals hidden in dungeons to restore balance to the land. Combat is straightforward but requires careful positioning, since enemies respawn when you leave and re-enter a screen. The pacing is slow, partly because the map isn't always clear and you end up backtracking through similar looking areas. It's a difficult game, not because the enemies are smart, but because resources are scarce and the dungeons can feel mazelike. Playing it feels like piecing together a puzzle that the designers never fully finished.
