Lemmings on SNES is one of those games that looks cute but will absolutely wreck your brain if you're not careful. You've got these little dudes with bright green or blue hair just mindlessly marching toward certain doom—unless you step in and give them jobs. Builders make stairs, blockers stop the herd, diggers... well, dig. Mess up the timing, and suddenly half your squad’s drowning in pixelated lava.
The first few levels ease you in, but don’t get comfy. By the time you hit the mid-game, you’re juggling eight different skills while the clock ticks down. The music’s weirdly cheerful for a game about preventing mass extinction, but that’s part of the charm. And yeah, you will yell at the screen when one lemming ruins everything by turning left instead of right.
It’s old-school tough, but pulling off a perfect level feels like solving a tiny, chaotic riddle. Just don’t blame me when you’re still trying to save them all at 2 AM.
