Legend on the SNES is one of those classic side-scrolling brawlers that feels like it walked straight out of an arcade—think Golden Axe meets Final Fight, but with its own weird charm. You pick from a few different warriors (I always went with the barbarian guy because, well, axes) and just start smashing through waves of enemies. The controls are simple, but the hits feel satisfying, especially when you pull off a screen-clearing special move.
It’s got that gritty, slightly janky early '90s vibe—some of the sprites are hilariously oversized, and the music is exactly what you’d expect. Not the deepest game, but perfect if you just want to punch skeletons for half an hour. The bosses are ridiculous in the best way, too.
Honestly, it’s a solid choice if you’re in the mood for something mindless and nostalgic. Just don’t expect a hidden masterpiece.
