Okay, so Lawnmower Man on SNES is one of those weird licensed games that tries to do everything at once. You start off in this trippy virtual reality world where you're basically a digital god, flinging fireballs and dodging glitchy-looking enemies—kinda like a top-down shooter. Then suddenly, bam, you're in a side-scrolling platformer section with awkward jumps. And just when you think you've got the hang of it, the perspective shifts again.
It's based on that early '90s VR movie, so expect lots of neon grids and weird cyber-psychedelic visuals. The controls are a little stiff, especially when it forces you into those maze-like sections, but there's something oddly charming about how ambitious (and messy) it is. Definitely not the smoothest SNES experience, but if you're into bizarre '90s nostalgia, it's a trip.
Honestly, half the fun is just seeing what bizarre gameplay twist it throws at you next.
