Last Bible III is one of those SNES RPGs that flew under the radar but absolutely deserves more love. Right from the start, you're thrown into this weird, almost steampunk fantasy world where magic and machines clash—think Final Fantasy meets Shadowrun, but with its own weird charm.
The combat's your standard turn-based stuff, but with a fun twist: you can recruit monsters to fight alongside you. Some are useless, some are surprisingly OP, and figuring out which is which is half the fun. (Pro tip: grab a Slime early—they're weirdly tanky.)
What really hooked me was the atmosphere. The pixel art has this grimy, lived-in quality, and the soundtrack nails that perfect blend of eerie and adventurous. It's not the deepest RPG out there, but there's something about its offbeat vibe that stuck with me. If you dig obscure 16-bit JRPGs with personality, this one's a hidden gem.
