Lady Stalker: Kako Kara No Chousen came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, developed by Climax Entertainment. It was part of that later wave of SNES games that really pushed what the hardware could do visually, with a distinct isometric perspective that wasn't super common. You don't see many action RPGs from that era with this particular look and feel, which always made it stand out in my memory.

You control Lady, a bounty hunter exploring a world screen by screen, fighting monsters in real time with your sword and a separate bow for ranged attacks. Your main goal is to hunt down the demon lord Kako, which involves delving into multi level dungeons, solving environmental puzzles, and gathering key items to progress. The combat is straightforward but requires positioning; you can't just swing wildly, especially when enemies come from all sides in the isometric view. The pacing is deliberate, as you methodically clear areas and manage your health and magic, and the difficulty can spike in certain dungeons. It feels like a methodical hunt, where every new screen could hide a secret or an ambush.
