About Krusty's Super Fun House (europe)
Krusty's Super Fun House came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was one of those many licensed games from the era that tried to blend a popular cartoon with a familiar style of gameplay, in this case a puzzle game that felt similar to Lemmings.
You control Bart and Lisa Simpson, tasked with clearing rats from each level of Krusty's Fun House. The main objective is to guide a stream of rats safely through each single screen room and into a disposal unit. You don't directly control the rats; instead, you move your character to pick up and place various contraptions like fans, slides, and traps to alter their path. You also have to avoid enemies and hazards yourself while you work. The pacing is methodical, and some puzzles require precise timing and placement, making it trickier than it first appears. It feels like a careful, hands on process of building a working path through each stage.
