Man, Knights of the Round on SNES is one of those classic beat 'em ups that just nails the medieval vibe. You pick between Arthur, Lancelot, or Percival—each with their own feel—and immediately start hacking through waves of bandits, knights, and weird fantasy creatures. The swordplay’s simple but satisfying, with this cool level-up system where your armor gets fancier the more enemies you wreck.
What I love is how chaotic it gets when you’re playing co-op. Two players swinging wildly, accidentally hitting each other, scrambling for health pickups—it’s pure chaos in the best way. The bosses are these massive dudes on horseback or wizards hurling fireballs, and you’ve gotta figure out their patterns fast or get stomped. The music’s got that classic SNES energy too, all trumpets and drama.
It’s not the deepest game ever, but there’s something about the chunky pixel art and clanging swords that just feels right. If you dig old-school arcade-style brawlers, this one’s a solid time. Just don’t expect Lancelot to share any of that roast chicken he picks up.
