About Kirbys Dream Course
Kirby's Dream Course came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by HAL Laboratory. It was a different kind of game for the system, a mix of mini golf and the familiar pink puffball that felt fresh alongside the platformers and RPGs of the time.
You control Kirby, who is the ball. Your goal is to knock him into all the enemies on a course with a single shot before sinking him into the hole. The main mechanics involve setting your shot's power and angle, then watching as Kirby rolls, bumps into enemies to copy their abilities, and uses those powers to clear obstacles or attack remaining foes. The game is played screen by screen, with each cleared screen acting like a completed hole. The difficulty comes from planning your ricochets and managing your limited shots. It feels like a clever, condensed puzzle where every bounce matters.
