Okay, so Kirby's Ghost Trap (or Kirby's Avalanche if you're in North America) is basically Kirby cosplaying as a puzzle game—and it weirdly works. You know how Kirby inhales enemies? Here, he's sucking up colored blobs instead, matching four of the same to clear the board while ghosts mess with you. It’s like Puyo Puyo, but with way more pink and way more panic when the screen starts filling up.

The first few levels lull you into thinking "Oh, this is cute," but then the ghosts start dropping junk blocks on you mid-combo, and suddenly you're mashing buttons like it's a fighting game. The music’s got that classic SNES charm—peppy but low-key stressful when the timer’s ticking down. And yeah, the sprite work is adorable, especially when Kirby does his little victory dance after clearing a stage.

It’s one of those games where you tell yourself "just one more round" at 2 AM. If you dig puzzle games with personality (or just want to see Kirby looking vaguely concerned while blocks crush him), this one’s a blast.
