About Kinnikuman - Dirty Challenger (japan)
Kinnikuman: Dirty Challenger came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, developed and published by Yutaka. It was one of many games based on the popular Kinnikuman wrestling manga, arriving during the SNES era when licensed titles were common. This one is a straightforward one-on-one fighting game.
You control a superhuman wrestler, choosing from a roster of characters, and face opponents in a ring. The main goal is to deplete your rival's health bar to win the match. Signature mechanics include grappling and throwing your opponent, then quickly mashing buttons to increase the damage of the throw. You can also climb the turnbuckle to perform a diving attack from the ropes. The pacing is fast, and the computer can be surprisingly aggressive, making you block and counter often. It feels like a chaotic, button-mashing brawl where a single mistake can turn the match around.
