King of Dragons is one of those classic SNES beat 'em ups from Capcom that just nails the fantasy vibe. You pick from five classes—fighter, cleric, elf, dwarf, or wizard—and hack your way through orcs, dragons, and all sorts of medieval nasties. The elf’s bow feels great if you like keeping distance, but I always end up going back to the dwarf because smashing things with an axe never gets old.
It’s got that classic arcade feel with just enough RPG elements to keep things interesting—leveling up, grabbing better gear, and watching your character slowly turn into an unstoppable monster-slayer. The sprite work still holds up, too—big, chunky enemy designs and satisfying hit effects. If you’ve ever wasted an afternoon with Final Fight or Knights of the Round, this one’s right up your alley.
