Play King Arthur's World Online

King Arthur's World came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993, developed by Argonaut Games. It was part of that era on the SNES where developers were experimenting with different genres, and this one landed somewhere between a puzzle game and a light strategy title.

You control a small group of knights and peasants, directing them to dig through dirt, build bridges, and fight off creatures so King Arthur can traverse each screen. The main goal is simply to get Arthur from the start to the exit, but the levels are full of obstacles that require careful planning. Your key mechanics are digging tunnels to create new paths and using your different units for specific tasks; for instance, peasants dig quickly but cannot fight, while knights are slow diggers but essential for combat. The game moves at a deliberate, thoughtful pace, and some puzzles can be quite difficult, demanding you to figure out the exact sequence of actions. Playing it feels like solving a physical, interactive logic problem with a medieval skin.
