Kindai Mahjong Special (japan) Game

Kindai Mahjong Special is one of those SNES mahjong games that feels like it was made for late-night sessions. The tiles have that classic 90s pixel charm, and the AI opponents actually put up a decent fight—none of that "let the player win" nonsense. First thing you'll notice? The music's weirdly chill, almost like it's trying to lull you into a false sense of security before some old guy in a virtual suit absolutely cleans you out.
It's got all the usual rules (riichi, tanyao, the works), but what surprised me was how snappy the controls feel for a Super Nintendo game. No clunky menu diving—just quick tile selections and that satisfying *click* when you call a pon. If you've played other mahjong games from this era, this one's definitely a step up in polish. Just don't blame me when you lose three straight matches to the CPU's suspiciously good luck.
