Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Software Creations. You control all aspects of your chosen team, from batting and pitching to fielding and base running. The main goal is to win games, either in single exhibitions or by playing through a full season. A few things really set it apart. The pitching interface uses a simple cursor you place over the strike zone, while hitting involves timing your swing as the ball crosses the plate. On defense, you can dive and jump for balls, which feels responsive and sometimes spectacular. The game moves at a brisk pace, and while it's not overly difficult to pick up, mastering the timing for home runs or striking out a tough batter provides a good challenge. It feels smooth and satisfying to play, especially when you connect perfectly for a long home run.
