About Keeper
Keeper came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, a release from KOEI during a time when the console was full of ambitious, sometimes unusual games. It wasn't a headline title, but it had a particular look and concept that made it stand out on the shelf.
You control a lone warrior exploring a vast, interconnected dungeon. Your goal is to find the three pieces of the Triforce hidden deep within the fortress. The game is played screen by screen; you move from one static room to the next, fighting monsters with your sword or bow. You are constantly searching for keys to unlock doors and managing your limited inventory of items. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is unforgiving; a single mistake can send you back to the beginning. Playing Keeper feels like a tense, methodical test of your memory and patience.
