About Karura Ou (japan)
Karura Ou came out in 1994 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, a Namco release that appeared late in the console's life. It was part of that wave of Japanese-developed action games that tried to blend different genres, arriving without much fanfare in the West.
You control a young warrior exploring a cursed land, moving screen by screen through forests, caves, and temples.
