Jurassic Park II: The Chaos Continues is one of those SNES games that looked way cooler in the magazine ads than it actually was. You play as a mercenary—basically a discount Muldoon—trying to keep the park from getting wrecked (again) by some shady rival group. The dinos are still loose, but now you’ve also got trigger-happy goons in tactical gear running around.
It’s a side-scroller with some clunky shooting mechanics—expect to pump half your ammo into a raptor before it goes down. The jungle levels are decent, but the indoor sections feel like a slog with all the tight corridors. And yeah, the T-Rex still shows up to ruin your day at the worst possible moments. Not the worst licensed game, but definitely rough around the edges.
If you’re a Jurassic Park diehard, it’s got that 90s charm. Otherwise, maybe stick to the movies.
