Jurassic Park on SNES is one of those games that looks simple at first—you're just Dr. Grant trying to survive a dinosaur-infested island—but then you realize how sneaky it is. The top-down sections feel like classic adventure stuff, but then it suddenly shifts to first-person in the buildings, and that’s when the raptors get terrifying. No map, no hand-holding, just you, some questionable hitboxes, and a whole lot of dinosaurs that do not want you leaving alive.
Weirdly, the T-Rex is almost easier to deal with than the tiny compys that swarm you. And good luck figuring out where to go without a guide—half the challenge is just not getting lost in the jungle. Still, there’s something satisfying about finally escaping a raptor chase or stumbling onto a new weapon when you’re down to your last health bar. It’s janky, but in a way that makes you want to beat it anyway.
