Oh man, Jungle Book on SNES—this one takes me back. You play as Mowgli swinging through vines and dodging monkeys, with Baloo popping in to help (or sometimes just being a big goofy distraction). The controls feel a little stiff at first, but once you get the hang of bouncing off enemies and timing those vine swings, it’s weirdly satisfying.
The jungle backgrounds are surprisingly lush for a 16-bit game, though some of those panther levels still stress me out. And yeah, the music? That one track with the drums gets stuck in your head for days. It’s not the deepest platformer, but there’s charm in how chaotic it gets when everything’s trying to knock you into a pit.
Just don’t expect the Disney movie—this is more like someone took the characters and threw them into a fever dream of bananas and snakes.
