Judge Dredd on SNES is one of those licensed games that actually gets the vibe right. You’re stomping through Mega-City One as the stone-faced lawman himself, blasting perps with your Lawgiver and occasionally muttering one-liners that sound like they were recorded in a tin can. The levels are chaotic—lots of running, jumping, and deciding whether to shoot or arrest criminals (though let’s be honest, shooting is way more satisfying).
It’s got that classic 16-bit grime to it, with dark alleys and neon signs that make the city feel alive. Some of the platforming can be janky, and the controls take a minute to get used to, but once you’re in, it’s a solid ride. If you’re into the comics or just love ‘90s action games, this one’s worth a play.
