Joushou Mahjong Tenpai (japan) Game

Joushou Mahjong Tenpai is one of those solid, no-frills mahjong games for the SNES—just you, the tiles, and that satisfying click when you make a match. It’s got that classic Game Arts polish, so the controls feel smooth, and the AI doesn’t pull any cheap tricks (most of the time).
First thing you’ll notice? The music’s weirdly chill for a game about aggressively stealing tiles from your opponents. The UI’s clean, though—none of that cluttered nonsense some older mahjong games suffer from. Took me a round or two to get used to the button layout, but after that, it’s pure tile-slapping zen.
If you’re into traditional mahjong without gimmicks, this one’s a quiet little gem. Just don’t blame me when you lose three hands in a row to the CPU’s suspiciously good luck.
