Joe & Mac on SNES is one of those weird, charming platformers that somehow makes cavemen bashing dinosaurs with clubs feel totally natural. You play as either Joe or Mac—big, beefy dudes in loincloths—running through jungles, caves, and waterfalls while chucking rocks, riding pterodactyls, and occasionally picking up a roast chicken for health (because of course). The levels are packed with goofy enemies like hopping cavemen and tiny T-Rexes that somehow still mess you up if you're not careful.

What I love is how chaotic it gets in co-op. You and a buddy can team up, but let’s be real—you’ll probably end up accidentally bopping each other with clubs while trying to fend off a swarm of angry dino-birds. The graphics are bright and cartoony, and the music has that classic SNES charm, all bouncy and upbeat even when you’re getting wrecked by a boss. It’s not the hardest game out there, but it’s got enough surprises to keep you grinning the whole way through.

If you’re into retro platformers with a side of dumb fun, this one’s a solid pick. Just watch out for those rolling boulders—they come outta nowhere.
