Joe & Mac - Tatakae Genshijin is one of those weirdly charming SNES games where you play as cavemen beating up dinosaurs with clubs and boomerangs. The Japanese version has some differences—slightly goofier enemy designs, a few extra power-ups—but it’s the same chaotic side-scrolling action. You’ll hop between floating platforms, chuck rocks at pterodactyls, and occasionally ride a little dinosaur buddy who just sort of… helps, I guess?
It’s not the deepest game, but the controls are snappy, and the whole thing has this cartoony energy that makes it hard to put down. The bosses are ridiculous (one’s just a giant caveman head?), and the music’s got that classic SNES chirpiness. If you’re into retro platformers with a silly streak, this one’s a solid time-waster.
